Announcements

Caryn said we will have a club assembly for sometime in March to present fundraising ideas.  Anyone who would like to present a project should follow the posted guidelines suggested by Julie:

 1. Those who want to present fundraiser ideas are invited to RSVP and are given a fixed amount of time to present their ideas.  Have them include the following in general terms : Nature of the event, the basics of what needs to be accomplished (venue, sponsorships, partners, etc.),  skills required (PR/marketing, organizational) estimate of costs incurred and a guess of funds raised. I know this might seem like a lot, but it is really impossible to figure out the viability of fund raising without these basics. I have been doing fund raising & events for years. With a little prep and research before the meeting, the club might be able to move faster and not send folks out to gather the info or jump into something ill suited.

2. The other item that needs to be considered, in my opinion, is what each club member is expected to do. Options for support and participation. Possibly a bunch of folks won't want to participate or even attend the assembly ( our usual missing members?).  If we can come up with a slate of options that would appeal to our more and less participatory members we could have an event that the whole club is involved in.

Richard announced that he will be speaking at a school for Career Day Fri. 22.
