Mike went to Acapulco for a golf tournament and Barbara came so close to a hole in one but she did make the birdie.

 

Mike was also a speaker at a school for Career day.

 Caryn did her first tutoring job and the 3rd grade student delighted Caryn by showing her the dictionary she received from Pittsburg Rotary....

 Stan had great things to say about the First Sunday for the Delta Jazz Society at the Pittsburg Yacht Club. Dinner is at 5:30 and there is a fantastic show afterward.  Hope to see you all there!

 

Marlin is a trainer March 8th for the American Red Cross CPR Class.

 

Jim spent 3 days in Truckee at his condo and said some of the snow drifts got up to 10 feet.

 

Barbara was happy to report that there are 2 championship teams in her school district...one is boy's soccer and the other is girls wrestling. 

 

Announcements    

 

Bruce showed us some letters that were sent to us thanking the Rotary Club for their dictionaries.  Also reminded us of the district conference in April. 

 

Mike told us that Mei Ling spent last week at a Rotary conference and is starting an exchange program and training sponsored by Rotary.

Cheryl and Julio spoke on some of the new laws that are going into effect in July of this year...they are about the use of cell phones while driving.  They also told us about the senior self-assessment program and on-line appointment making.  For more detailed information on these subject you can go to: www.dmv.ca.gov
