President Bruce called the meeting to order.

Julie and Dave went to the Monterey Bay Area and saw the shark...They had a great time.
 
Joanne went to the Fright Fest and judged the Halloween costumes  and saw a Jazz band.
 
Archie was happy about his wife....
 
Announcements
 
Ron said to hurry up and sign up for the Reno Train Trip for Jan. 13 and 14.  It's gonna be fun!!!!
 
 Diana is ordering the dictionaries to be delivered after Thanksgiving.
 
Holiday Party Nov. 10th....We are in need of appetizers and desserts...Please contact Sandi or Caryn to let them know what you would like to bring....

Brad updated us on the progress of Old Town Pittsburg.  Friday is the Grand Opening of Palace of Fine Foods at 12-2 PM. They will have 5 chefs there demonstrating some of the gourmet fare...Yummmmm......
 
Phase 1 of the Old Town project is really going strong and Phase 2 is getting ready to start.  So far there will be and Italian restaurant and a Micro Brewery and of course the New Mecca.
 
It will be commercial between 3rd and 4th St. And plans for 1000 new residential units in the next 2-3 years along with an elementary school on 8th and Railroad.  Redevelopment between 8th and 10th is underway.  Also, plans for a 3 story commercial building in the Marina and a 100 room 5 story hotel.
