Pittsburg Rotary Club  Assembly

President Bruce called the assembly to order. 

 Visitation for Pat Casey will be Wednesday at 5 p.m., Rosary at 7p.m. At Good Shepherd.  The funeral is at 10a.m. On Thursday.

 Diana's travel group survived the Alaska cruise intact and her brother had a successful surgery.

 Mike and the Mrs. Had a good time at a Sadie Hawkins golf tournament.

Matt Chan, Concord/Diablo.  Matt announced their fundraiser on Friday September 21 at Centre Concord.  It includes dinner and comedy by Guido Sarducci for $75.  Doug McPherson of Concord also visited.
 
Announcements
 

The Chamber's September Newsletter included pictures of Mike, Van, and Mary C. In the Pasta Challenge.  There was also a wonderful article written by JoAnn.  Fines were liberally assessed. 

 

Our September 11 we will be welcoming our District Governor to our meeting.  Summer absentees be sure to come. 

 

 

Julie reported on the recent Board meeting.  Anyone interested in becoming president for next year is invited to step up.  Possible future projects such as swim lessons for children and Guitars Not Guns were discussed.

 

  Ron finalized Seafood Beer Booth assignments.

 

Diana reported the grant was received for the dictionaries and thesauri.

 

  Mike selected chairpersons for our golf tournament on September 28.  Volunteers were requested to invite others by visiting other clubs and by distributing fliers throughout our community.
