Barbara spent five days in Hawaii with her parents and next week she is going to her home in Mexico....

 

 

Brad is happy City Council approved a loan to Delta Discovery Cruises...That will certainly be a great asset for Pittsburg!!!!

 

Announcements

 

Bruce went to PETS and it gave him a better understanding about what Rotary is all about.  He also talked about women in Rotary for the last 20 years and passed out 20 year anniversary pins to all of the women.   Bruce also talked about stepping up Rotary with new and young people to add some new life into Rotary.  There will be an assembly in the near future on what he learned.

 Mike said the Golf Tourney is really coming together with Michael Kees.  He sent out e-mails to businesses about the Tournament and discussed the raffle tickets. May 10th will be the Fundraiser to Winter Island.  The cost is $50.

David Naro - Antioch Rotary

 

David spoke and showed slides on his trip to Norway.  He hiked 400 miles.  He also spoke of the Rotary Foreign Exchange Student Program.

CALLING ALL ROTARIANS TO PLEASE HELP!

 

We are RAISING money and our club is requesting your assistance.  Please get started now and provide information by no later than April 17^th!!!!!:

Please speak with all business acquaintances you know and “hustle” two each items for our May Golf Tournament silent auction – each item is to exceed $100 in value.  OR…if you are able to “hustle” one LARGE item valued at over $300, we will be VERY HAPPY!  Please notify Caryn Wegerbauer in person or via email at cwegie@sbcglobal.net about your item(s) by no later than April 17^th.

1. We plan to host a Rotary Exchange Student and need 3 host homes here in Pittsburg.  Who do you know that can host a student for 3 months?  Preference is that the student have their own room and it is OK if they share a bathroom.

2. What are your favorite RECIPES??  Please submit your favorite recipes for our FUNDRAISER cookbook!  Submit by April 17^th to Sandi Lee in person or via email at sandileefleck@sbcglobal.net  The more the better!!!
